update

Clockwise from top left: Me wearing a headband belonging to Chris' 3-year-old niece (adorned to my head by her hand), waiting for a table, Chris' eye, us.

It's been quite the month. Since my last post I have attended a wedding, two birthday parties, a baby shower and two Easter dinners (and much more!); worked a new, double-pronged contract, updated my resume and portfolio (2 all-nighters were involved) and had a job interview (with 2 more to come). Super crazy, but I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the proverbial tunnel.

Also, I wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who has stopped in recently. I love all your sweet comments and, when I have leisure time, look forward to getting updated on all your lives as well. I don't know when I will have time to post again but I hope to have photos of the aforementioned wedding up soon.

Have a great week! xx

Photos above of my to-do list at work this week and my cats greeting me when I got home this evening.

Also, I am so obsessed with Orla Gartland's cover of Gotye's super popular track Somebody That I Used To Know. This girl's voice is gorgeous.

"I listen to the things people want out of love these days, and they blow my mind. I go to the pub with the boys from the squad and listen while they explain, with minute precision, exactly what shape a woman should be...what acts she should perform on which date and what she should always or never do or say or want; I eavesdrop on women in cafes while they reel off lists of which jobs a man is allowed, which cars, which labels, which flowers and restaurants and gemstones get the stamp of approval, and I want to shout, Are you people out of your tiny minds?"
